Your local Minnesota CS Community

CSTA MN hosts regular meetings throughout the year that are led and driven by educators. Attending a meeting is a great way to introduce yourself to the community of CS educators in Minnesota and gain resources and ideas to bring computer science to your classroom.

Empower{MN:CS}

Join us for an exciting 3-day computer science PD!

As a participant, you will have the opportunity to choose from one of five workshops that best align to your experience and professional learning goals. Along with the workshops, there will be whole group events for participants to connect with other educators and organizations working to expanding computer science education across the state.

Dates: August 5-7, 2025

Location: Lind Hall, University of Minnesota Twin Cities

Cost: $50 for CSTA members, $100 for non-members (includes CSTA membership for one year)

Stipends & Travel Reimbursement: A $630 stipend is available for K-12 educators who attend all 3 days and complete workshop requirements. Limited travel reimbursements will be available to educators not local to the Twin Cities.

CSTA online professional development (PD) courses provide a flexible, deep learning experience that you can complete at your own pace. Course content includes meaningful and interactive activities focused on application to your CS classroom—you’ll do a lot more than just read and watch. Plus, you’ll experience asynchronous collaboration with other CS educators as you both give and get feedback and exchange ideas.
